About the Author

Norah Desy is a seven-year-old second grader who lives in a small town. She loves having her lemonade stand in her neighbor’s yard with her friends. Local celebrities such as Otis, the town police dog, often make an appearance.

Norah is a thrill seeker who loves roller coasters, indoor skydiving, jet skiing, kickboxing and playing tag with her friends. Human friends and the fuzzy kind. She has a dog named Molly, a yellow lab. She also grew up with Wiggles, a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel.

One of Norah’s most favorite pastimes is spending time with her family. She enjoys hiking with her Grampa, Frank, and playing dominoes with her Grammy and Grampy, Paula and Bob. She cherishes time spent cooking with her dad and getting creative with her mom and Grammy, Kay. She is very fortunate to be surrounded by her loved ones, especially her Grammy Sue and Uncle Scott, with whom she delights in swimming and playing with.

Norah is a critical thinker. She sees the world differently than most of us. Where are you and I see a toilet paper roll Norah sees a unicorn maraca.

All proceeds that Norah receives from the sale of this book will be deposited in Norah‘s bank book. She proudly proclaims she is saving for “more important things“. Her primary goal for saving is college. Norah decided this 100% on her own. When asked if she had a full scholarship to college what would she use her money for she stated she would save for a house and a baby, ‘cause babies are expensive.

Other sources of joy for Norah include: spending time outdoors, exploring nature, running around and playing tag, collecting rocks and other gems, climbing mountains, making forts, painting, swinging on swingsets, making furniture for her lemonade stand, operating her lemonade stand, vacations in Maine, seeing the sunset, playing in the arcade (especially the claw machine, whack-a-mole, frog jumper), and snuggling with her mom and dad.
